Why I Do Not Accept Donations
Please donate, both financially and in terms of your time, to the Salvation Army, Red Cross, your local food pantry, a church, or the charity of your choice. Spend time with family members, children, elders, and friends. But please do not send me any contributions.
I am not asking for or accepting donations to my campaign. I am financing it myself through my own savings and Social Security. I have chosen this approach because I do not want to be influenced by financial contributions. My goal is to make decisions based on what is best for the community, not based on expectations tied to donations.
Many people feel that money has too much influence in politics. That concern is not limited to national issues. It can exist at the local level as well. Large contributions can create an uneven level of influence that most residents simply do not have. By not accepting donations, I can remain focused on representing the entire community fairly and independently. So please, if you are willing to give or volunteer, support the organizations that serve our community every day.
Voting Information
In-person voting is held on Tuesday, June 9th, from 7 AM to 7 PM. You can vote at the Minot City Auditorium Building, State Fair Center, or Ward County Office Building. You must be a Minot resident for at least 30 days and be 18 years or older to vote. Appropriate ID is required when voting. Absentee ballots are available at the Ward County's Auditor's Office. early voting is Monday June 3, through Friday June 7, and also Monday, June 8, from 10 AM to 6 PM.
